On the bridge to the Botanical Gardens
.Penny, in the blue shoes, travelled from Canada to holiday in Australia and New Zealand. Unfortunately her baggage went missing on the flight from Melbourne to Christchurch, so she had to spend the day sight seeing in her travelling clothes and ended up with blue-shoe blisters.
We took Penny around the city sights on Saturday and on Sunday went to Akaroa for the day. Monday Penny left on a tour of the South and North Island.
A small rose.

Art in the air.

Akaroa - a beautiful day - good weather, scenery and good food. We travelled back to Christchurch via the Summit Road and worse, giving Penny a thrill a minute as we negotiated a very narrow, windy, clinging to the side of a mountain dirt road.

We travelled back home via the Kaikoura coast road and had fun photographing the seagulls.

Saw some seals and pups on the way north. Sea fog rolled in as we arrived in Kaikoura and then out as we left. (You can still see it on the horizon.)

Travelling through Marlborough; where there are no grapes, the tussock grass is brown and dry.

So they came back! But do you know what they did?
Said hello and then went out and left here alone!
All I have to say is....

Happy Birthday Kayla!!!
Meow. Meow.

Yeah - happy birthday Kayla!
Nice photos too :-)
I bet you guys can't grow a rose quite like that one - imagine the amount of manure it would take!
LOL
looks like you had a good day despite lost luggage and blue shoe blisters!
